The goal of the result was to develop a much needed and yet missing comprehensive research study in the field of green skills which are essential in Social Economy Entities (SEE) operations. These skills are aimed at the creation of Socially Driven Green (SDG) solutions towards a green transformation and at the upscale of SEE (on different areas of development and know-how on SE) in the green labour market in different countries taking part in this project and throughout Europe. The Research Study allowed:
- identified the needs and challenges in the field of green skills in SEEs,
- identified crucial elements (learning objectives, knowledge, skills and social competences) of educational programmes that support the acquisition of environment-centred skills of students of HE institutions in SE related study fields,
- provided a comparative analysis of the current state of the art in each individual target country and beyond in terms of practicing SE students green skills, aiming to present ‘what we currently have’ and connect it to ‘what we currently need and will need in the future’,
- proposed concrete solutions and educational approaches for restructuring SE existing university curricula so as to upscale the current role of SE universities from key actors of social transformations, as main drivers of ecological transition.
